This is a hoodie / t-shirt that was made in memory of Billy Burke. Billy was a great personality and a friend to everyone. I do not know anyone who had a bad word to say about Billy. Unfortunately we lost him on 20Sep13, and he is missed by everyone. He is survived by his wife, Maria, and son, Liam. Billy was a great officer and a hard worker. Billy was born in Ireland and you could hear the accent when you spoke to him. A lot of this hoodie / t-shirt reflects his Irish heritage. Billy is missed by all of us.
Great care was taken in the design of this hoodie / t-shirt to reflect his personality. On the front is Billy Burke's name along with a blue memorial banner, the Oakland Police Department and Billy's EOW date, 20Sep13. On the back is, again, the name Billy Burke with the Celtic trinity knot in the middle and the phrase "Guardians of the Peace" on the bottom. The trinity knot is symbolic of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit or the Holy Family. On the right shoulder is a blacked out Movon Aabe helmet of which Billy was a fan of. On the left shoulder is a combination Irish and American flag. On the long sleeve hoodies on the right forearm is a Celtic cross and on the left forearm is a semi colon which reflects suicide awareness. Also, near the left cuff is a QR code which when scanned comes back to this page in case anyone wants to scan it and learn a little about Billy.
In regards to the hoodie and the color. It is going to be a Jerzees brand hoodie style number 996. This is going to be offered in the color Kelly which is a darker style green and reflects Billy's Irish heritage. I am using this brand as I have compared many of the green hoodies and this is the most appropriate one. Jerzees is an excellent style hoodie, they have a front pocket in the front with a draw string that goes through the hood. On the t-shirts I am going to be using Bella Canvas brand shirts number 3001C. This is going to be offered in the color Evergreen which is a darker style green just like the hoodie. If neither of these are available I will use something of similar quality.

I encourage you to look at the pictures below which not only show the details of the hoodie and t-shirt but of Billy. There are pictures that reflect Billy as we knew him. Also there is a picture of a Pinole police vehicle that has the names of multiple fallen heroes with Billy's name on it. If you look real close it is right below the door handle. Also, there are two pictures. One that is an announcement for Heroes Memorial Park in the city of Rockwell, Texas which has Billy's name carved on a wall of fallen heroes. The other picture is of that park. Billy is a hero and should be remembered as such. God Bless you Billy.
