This is a hoodie / t-shirt that was made in the memory of Jordan Wingate. Jordan was a young officer and had a very bright career and life ahead of him. Jordan had a likeable character and had the respect of everyone who knew him. Unfortunately, we lost Jordan on 20Apr24. He began his career early at OPD as he was a police cadet. He eventually joined the 176th Oakland Police Academy and graduated from it in 2017. In 2018, he was awarded "Rookie of the Year" by the OPOA. Jordan is survived by his father, Randy, who is another outstanding police officer. His mother, Kristine, his sister, Autumn, and brother , Nathan. Jordan is a hero for his fearless dedication to the community and should be remembered as such. His passing is a loss to everyone.
Care was taken in the design of the hoodie / t-shirt to reflect Jordan. On the front is a graphic of St Michael, who is the patron saint of police officers, who was an inspiration to Jordan. Around the graphic is says "Jordan Wingate 9686," "EOW 20Apr24," and then "Oakland Police Department." On the back is a large graphic of a Celtic Cross which represents Jordan's faith. Across the top of the cross is the name Jordan Wingate and underneath it is the phrase "Fortune Favors the Brave." Jordan was a fan of that phrase and had it tattooed on him. Finally, on the shoulder is an American flag. Also, near the left cuff is a QR code which when scanned comes back to this page in case anyone wants to scan it and learn a little about Jordan.
In regards to the hoodie and the colors. It is going to be offered in three different colors. It is going to be offered in Black, Charcoal Grey and Charcoal with a lighter colored ink on them. The Black is the darkest color available with Charcoal being the lightest. Charcoal Grey is in-between. This is so you can get a hoodie with strong contrast or one that is more subdued. The Black and Charcoal hoodies are going to be offered on Gildan style G185 hoodies and the Charcoal Grey is going to be on a Jerzees style 996. Both are similar quality hoodies. These brands are being chosen for their color availability. They are excellent quality hoodies. In regards to the t-shirts, they are going to be offered in Bella Canvas style 3001 shirts. Currently, they are only going to be available in Black.
